Mohit Malik bags a new Star Plus show

One of the most popular actors on Indian television, Mohit Malik has bagged a new show. The actor, who was last seen in a grey character in Doli Armaanon Ki on Zee TV, will play the male lead in one of Star Plus’ upcoming shows.

Mohit Malik is known to pick up distinct roles in his career, roles which are not similar to what he has done before. Keeping his track record intact, the actor will now play a singer in his new series.


“Mohit Malik will play the lead in the series. He will essay the role of the renowned playback singer with name and fame, Sikandar Singh Gill,” informs a source.

Reportedly, the show will be called Kulfi Kumar Baajewala. It will be the Hindi adaptation of the hit Star Jalsa show, Potol Kumar Gaanwala which revolved around a young singer who sets out to search for her musician father.

The new show will be jointly produced by 4 Lions Films and Invictus T Mediaworks.

‘Most sexualised profession’: Kangana raises concern over perception of nurses

Ahead of the release of Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata, actor-politician Kangana Ranaut has said that nursing remains one of the most misunderstood and sexualised professions.

Speaking to ANI, Ranaut said nurses do not receive the dignity and recognition they deserve despite their crucial role in healthcare. She described nursing as “the most sexualised profession” and said they are often overworked, underpaid and overlooked.
