Kriti Sanon in talks to star in Womaniya

Fresh from the success of her last release, Bareilly Ki Barfi, actress Kriti Sanon has just started shooting for her next film, Arjun Patiala, which sees her with Diljit Dosanjh. The latest we hear that the makers at Phantom Films have approached the actress for one of their forthcoming projects, titled Womaniya.

For the uninitiated, the film revolves around two passionate shooters who go all out to fulfil their aim and carve a niche for themselves in the arena of professional shooting. Let us inform you that the makers have already signed Pink fame Taapsee Pannu to play one of the leads. They want Sanon to join the cast and play the parallel lead in the movie.

“Kriti has heard the script and liked it. Both actresses will play 60-year olds in certain portions of the film as the story is told in flashback. They will be required to train before the film rolls towards the middle of this year,” a source reveals to an Indian daily.

The film will be helmed by a debutant director. It is expected to roll as soon as the whole casting is locked.
