Kizie Aur Manny, the official remake of The Fault In Our Stars, starts rolling

Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi started shooting for their upcoming film Kizie Aur Manny today in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. The film is the official remake of successful Hollywood flick, The Fault In Our Stars.

Kizie Aur Manny marks the directorial debut of renowned casting director Mukesh Chhabra, who launched Sushant in Bollywood with Abhishek Kapoor’s Kai Po Che! (2013). The team began the first shooting schedule of the movie by canning a crucial scene between Sanjana and her parents.

“The first shot will be taken with Sanjana, who plays Kizie, and her parents in their home,” Mukesh had informed before filming the scene.

The original film The Fault In Our Stars, which was a silver screen adaptation of a book of the same name, tells the story of a 16-year-old cancer patient and how she falls in love with another cancer patient after attending a support group.

Chhabra said that tough his film revolves around a love story of two cancer patients, he has tried his best to keep it as simple as possible. “The very fact that the story revolves around cancer makes it seem heavy and intense. But we’ve turned it into a beautiful love story which plays out lightly between these two main characters. I’ve tried to keep it as simple as possible which is why we decided on this title that has the ring of a rhyme, like Bunty Aur Babli (2005).”

Kizie Aur Manny is being produced by Fox Star Studios.
