Is Kapil Sharma joining hands with Netflix for a stand-up comedy show?

It seems comedian Kapil Sharma's stars are in his favour once again. After his much-publicized mid-air fight with his long time associate, Sunil Grover, which led to their split, TRPs of his popular comedy show, "The Kapil Sharma Show" hit rock-bottom. Speculations were rife that the channel had decided to pull the plug on the show. But with Sony TV renewing the contract of the show for one year, all rumours have been put to rest.

Besides the renewal of his show, there is one more exciting piece of information that can excite Kapil's fans even more. Reportedly, the ace comedian is in talks with streaming media giant, Netflix, for a stand-up comedy show.

Though no official confirmation has been made in this regard, reports suggest that Kapil is keen on inking a deal with Netflix and relive his early days of a stand-up comedian. For the uninitiated, Kapil started off as a standup comedian before he went on to set up his own production house and produce and host shows like "Comedy Nights With Kapil" and "The Kapil Sharma".

Kapil is also producing a film titled "Firangi". The film stars him as the male lead while Ishita Dutta and Monica Gill play the female parts.
