Fan Club Of The Week - Ishqbaaaz

By Asjad Nazir.

HIT TV series Ishqbaaaz has become so popular that fan clubs dedicated to the lead characters played by Nakuul Mehta and Surbhi Chandna have emerged globally. Niroshini from Canada set up one such fan club called Shivika FC before being joined by Roshni

from Mumbai, Nithiba from Chennai and Stuti from Lonavala.

Eastern Eye caught up with them to find out more.

What made you set up the fan club?

From the day we got connected to the characters of Ishqbaaaz, we’ve loved them. Many appreciating each character and spreading love all over inspired this fan club dedicated to

(the characters) Shivaay and Annika, called Shivika. So that is how we started and it never stopped.

Tell us about your fan club?

Our fan club is mostly about Shivika and somewhat about Nakuul and Surbhi (NarBhi as we call them). We’ve so much talent on this platform who spend their free time being fans, hence we just appreciate and support them so everyone from the fandom can see all the hard work done. We also keep followers updated about the happenings in Ishqbaaaz.

What is your favourite work they have done?

Our fan club is dedicated to the two characters, who have worked together so well and always been there for each other. Them being together is our favourite. We love the different shades of the characters and emotions, which have been very well portrayed

by Nakuul and Surbhi.

We really like Nakuul’s Instagram activities, where we get to know about all the hard work done behind the scenes. Also, we really love Surbhi’s disguises in Ishqbaaaz.

What has been your most memorable moment?

We feel content when we are able to do what we can, like when us fans come to

celebrate the show’s success together and have fun.

What is the best thing you like about your favourites?

Their love for all of us. We love their down-to-earth character and respect their friendship. We really love their chemistry onscreen.

Tell us an interesting fact about Nakuul and Surbhi?

They are both foodies. We, normal people, think celebrities don’t eat food the way we do, but our favourites are just like us. This literally connects us.

What is your definition of a true fan?

A true fan is one who is like a family member for the celebrity, appreciating their work, but also telling them their dislikes.

The one who will shower unconditional love and will stand by their idols, encouraging and motivating them.
