Ekta Kapoor to reboot Kahiin Toh Hoga as a web-series?

After the huge success of Kasautii Zindagii Kay, well-known producer Ekta Kapoor is reportedly working on a reboot version of her yet another popular show, Kahiin Toh Hoga, which starred Aamna Shariff and Rajeev Khandelwal in lead roles. According to reports, Kapoor is adapting the show in a web-series format which will stream on her popular OTT platform ALTBalaji.

Tentatively titled Kahiin Toh Hoga United, the web-series will have the feel of the original television show which was a rage during its run. “Just like the original TV series, which revolved around two primary characters and their ego tussle amidst their love story, the plot of the digital series will be quite similar to the original one. However, the characters will be different,” reveals a source close to the development revealed.

The casting process is currently underway. However, insiders reveal that popular South Indian actress Hebah Patel has been signed on to play the female lead on the series. Kahiin Toh Hoga United will mark her debut in the Hindi entertainment industry. “The makers wanted a non-quintessential face and Hebah seemed perfect for the character. The hunt for the other two characters is still on.”

According to reports, Kahiin Toh Hoga United will be a 40-episodic series. It begins production in the month of August. “The team will go on floors from the month of August for a start to wrap schedule which will last for four months,” adds the source.
