Boohoo unveils Paris Hilton collaboration

FASHION retailer Boohoo has launched a summer collection with US television personality and heiress Paris Hilton.

The 70-piece collection draws inspiration from Hilton’s fashion style in the early 2000s, and there are a lot of all-pink pieces. The range comprises swimwear and ready-to-wear pieces that touch on Hilton’s love for dogs, Beverly Hills and even her favourite catchphrase “That’s Hot.”

One of the key pieces is a metallic dress that Hilton wore for her 21st birthday. Reality show star and fashion model Kendall Jenner, too, wore a similar outfit for her 21st birthday bash.

Another piece, a maxi dress with palm prints, is inspired by Beverly Hills.

All pieces are available for under £100.

Carol Kane, chief executive and co-founder, Boohoo.com, said: "Paris is everything the Boohoo girl is and we can’t wait to have her on board with us for summer.

“Shot in her hometown of Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, the campaign embodies all the fabulous trends from the early 2000s that Paris Hilton is best known for, giving a nod to her own style that we think our customers will really love.”

Boohoo has previously collaborated with Jordyn Woods, Charli XCX, Stella Hudgens, Chantel Jeffries, Sailor Brinkley Cook and Elisa Johnson.

Earlier this year, actress Zendaya earlier launched a 90s inspired collection called The Zendaya Edit. The 50-piece collection included bathing suits and crop tops.

ISKCON reclaims historic London birthplace for £1.6 million after 56 years

Highlights

  • ISKCON London acquires 7 Bury Place, its first UK temple site opened in 1969, for £1.6 million at auction.
  • Five-storey building near British Museum co-signed by Beatle George Harrison who helped fund original lease.
  • Site to be transformed into pilgrimage centre commemorating ISKCON's pioneering work in the UK.
ISKCON London has successfully reacquired 7 Bury Place, the original site of its first UK temple, at auction for £1.6 m marking what leaders call a "full-circle moment" for the Krishna consciousness movement in Britain.

The 221 square metre freehold five-storey building near the British Museum, currently let to a dental practice, offices and a therapist, was purchased using ISKCON funds and supporter donations. The organisation had been searching for properties during its expansion when the historically significant site became available.

The building holds deep spiritual importance as ISKCON's UK birthplace. In 1968, founder A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada sent three American couples to establish a base in England. The six devotees initially struggled in London's cold, using a Covent Garden warehouse as a temporary temple.
