Rani Mukerji

Aiyyaa is clearly one of the most underrated performances of Rani Mukerji. She played the role of a Maharashtrian girl who falls in love with a Tamilian guy. Rani looked the part and nailed it when it comes to accent, and how can we forget the Lavni dance that she did in the song Sava Dollar.

Priyanka Chopra

Bajirao Mastani was named after Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s character. But it was Priyanka Chopra who stole the show and impressed us a lot. Priyanka as Kashibai was the best thing about Bajirao Mastani and she looked perfectly like a Marathi Mulgi on the big screen.

Kareena Kapoor Khan

In Singham Returns, Kareena Kapoor Khan played the role of a Maharashtrian girl. While we didn’t get to see her wearing a Nauvari saree in the film, but she got the Marathi accent perfectly right.

Kriti Sanon

If you haven’t seen Panipat yet, please do watch it for Kriti Sanon’s brilliant performance. She has impressed us a lot with her Marathi Mulgi act. She has got the accent and mannerisms correct, making us believe that we are actually watching Parvati Bai on the big screen and not Kriti Sanon.

Kajol

Last but not least; we have Kajol on our list. We know that Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior is yet to hit the screens, but in the trailer itself, Kajol has left a mark and we are sure that she will be excellent as Savitribai Malusare in the film.
