Ali Fazal approached for a role in Salman Khan’s Bharat

After casting Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Disha Patani, Tabu, Sunil Grover and Aashif Sheikh, the makers of the forthcoming film Bharat have reportedly approached actor Ali Fazal to play a pivotal role in the movie.

We hear that after roping in a bunch of actors, there is still scope for a couple of more actors in the star cast of the movie. After Fazal, some more names are expected to join the ensemble cast.


“Ali Fazal has been approached for a role in Bharat. However, the actor is yet to give the project his nod. Ali is currently busy with his other commitments. He’s not yet onboard,” a source reveals.

Bharat, produced by Alvira Khan Agnihotri, Atul Agnihotri in association with Bhushan Kumar, will be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. The film mounts the floor in July and is scheduled to release on Eid, next year.

Fazal is currently shooting for Sanjay Dutt’s home production Prasthaanam, which is a Hindi remake of a South Indian film called Prasthanam. Besides Ali Fazal, the film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Manisha Koirala and Amyra Dastur. He will also be seen in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s next Milan Talkies.
