Ali Abbas Zafar to focus on his digital debut after the release of Bharat

Ali Abbas Zafar, one of the most successful filmmakers from the current crop, is gearing up for the release his next high-profile film Bharat, starring Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Disha Patani and others.

Right after the release of Bharat on Eid, Zafar will reportedly focus on his digital debut. According to reports, the filmmaker has already given his nod to a web-show which is being backed by one of the leading streamers in the world.

Buzz has it that apart from calling the shots, Ali may produce the series on his own. Reportedly, Ali Abbas Zafar has already approached a couple of actors to be a part of his maiden venture, including Sacred Game star Saif Ali Khan.

Spilling some more beans on the development, a trade source says, “It is a path-breaking show of sorts on the digital world. Ali has also spoken to a few actors including Saif Ali Khan to be a part of the show. Saif is a major star in the web world now after Sacred Games. He will start casting and other pre-production details once he sees off the promotions and release of Bharat. It is not known if Salman Khan will also be a part of the producers’ team, but we heard that Ali may fly solo on this project.”

Produced by Atul Agnihotri, Bharat is set to enter theatres on 5th June.
