After Kriti Sanon, Kiara Advani to join the cast of Housefull 4

While Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh and Bobby Deol have been confirmed as the male leads in the much-awaited comic-caper Housefull 4, Kriti Sanon is the only actress who has joined the cast as the female lead.

According to some reports, at least two more slots for female leads are vacant in the movie and the makers are keen to lock them as soon as possible. Amidst all this, the latest we hear is that the makers have almost finalized actress Kiara Advani to play one of the female leads in Housefull 4.

Kiara, who rose to fame after playing a pivotal part in Neeraj Pandey's superhit film MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, was last seen in Abbas-Mustan's Machine which did not perform as per expectations. If she comes onboard as the second female lead in Housefull 4, the move will definitely propel her career in the right direction because Housefull, by all means, is one of the biggest and most successful film franchises produced in Bollywood.

Some sources also reveal that Kiara will be paired opposite Riteish Deshmukh in Housefull 4. The modalities are being worked out. Though Kiara has given her final nod to the project, she is yet to sign it on the dotted line.

Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Housefull 4 will be directed by Sajid Khan. The film is scheduled to release on Diwali 2019.

  • Dulquer Salmaan says he was pushed around on early Hindi film sets
  • Reveals he had to “create an illusion of stardom” just to get a chair
  • Compares Bollywood’s entourage culture with simple Malayalam sets
  • Says perception drives behaviour on larger Hindi productions
  • Actor gearing up for the release of Kaantha on Netflix and his next Malayalam film

Dulquer Salmaan has spoken plainly about how different his early days in Hindi cinema felt. The actor, now seen as a pan-India name, said the size and pace of the industry forced him to project a sense of stardom he did not believe in. It became a matter of survival on set. The comments came during a roundtable with THR India, where he revisited those first months after Karwaan and The Zoya Factor. He kept using one simple point to explain it: perception. A word that keeps coming up when artists talk about hierarchy on Mumbai sets.
