A FUNDRAISING page has been set up for a newly married supermarket assistant manager who was stabbed to death in a knife attack in Slough last Wednesday (8).
Nadeem Uddin Hameed Mohammed was stabbed in the chest in the underground car park of the Slough supermarket. The 24-year-old got married just 10 months ago and his wife is pregnant with their first child.
Friends and family hope to raise £30,000 for Mohammed’s wife Aafsha and their unborn child.
A statement on the fundraising page said: “Words are not enough to express the sorrow and grief his wife is going through and our heart pours out for his wife who has all been left alone in this world.
“I know no financial assistance can help the family to recoup the loss but the funds raised will certainly help the family and secure the children’s future.”
Aqib Pervaiz, aged 26, of Rochford Gardens, Slough, has been charged with murder in connection with Mohammed’s death.
Pervaiz is a Pakistani national who held a grudge against Mohammed after losing his job two weeks ago.
Mohammed worked as a manager with a departmental store chain Poundland, where Aqib also worked. The accused was sacked because of his poor performance, and he blamed Mohammed for it.
Pervaiz is expected to enter a plea at a hearing on July 8, with a provisional trial date set for October 2.
