By ASJAD NAZIR.

TALENTED actress Surbhi Chandna has made an amazing impact with winning  performances on television and delivered memorable moments for fans. One of these admirers is based in Mumbai and runs a popular fan club online dedicated to the stunning actress. Eastern Eye caught up with them to find out more.

What made you to set up the fan club?

The reason is my love for Surbhi. I wanted to connect with people who truly love and appreciate her for the work she does. I just wanted to spread love and positivity

for Surbhi Chandna.

Tell us more about your fan club?

It’s been a year since I have been running it. I try to update my followers with Surbhi’s onscreen and off-screen photos, videos, events and news. I want to support the entire journey of Surbhi. Thanks to all the followers.

What has been your memorable moment?

There are many. One of them is when she won the AVTA Best Actress Award 2017. It

was her first award as a best actress and she was so excited about that.

What is the best thing you like about her?

It is how hard working she is and her down-to-earth nature. The way she credits fans for her success and treats us as her own family is amazing. She always takes the criticism positively. The way she bonds with every co-actor is great. She is so pure hearted.

Tell us an interesting fact about Surbhi?

She is a big foodie. She always gets excited for vacations and is a child at heart. She knows how to make her fans feel special. We all are proud fans.

Your favourite work Surbhi has done?

I have loved all her work, from the small cameo roles she has done in serials and

advertisements to lead roles including her current show Ishqbaaaz. She portrays the character of Anika so beautifully. She is such a versatile actress.

Her photo-shoots are also always so amazing.

Finally, what is your definition of a true fan?

A true fan is the one who always stands with their idols and supports them in their journey without any second thought. They appreciate, love and respect their idols. A true fan is the one who sheds tears on the event of their idol’s success and feels proud of them.

Producer Namit Malhotra reveals how AI will make Ramayana resonate globally with native-language realism

Ranbir's 'Ramayana' will go global using AI, says producer Namit Malhotra

Producer Namit Malhotra is betting big on Ramayana, not just as a film for Indian audiences, but as a story that can speak to viewers across the world. At the WAVES Summit in Mumbai, Malhotra shared how the upcoming mythological drama, directed by Nitesh Tiwari and starring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi, is being developed with a global ambition, bringing together high-end tech with cultural roots.

He explained that the team isn’t just dubbing the film into other languages. Instead, they’re using real-time AI to match lip movements to multiple languages, so when audiences watch it in English, Spanish, or Japanese, it looks like the actors are actually speaking those tongues. The idea is to avoid the usual detachment of subtitles or awkward dubbing, and instead make the film feel native to each region.

Instagram blocks profiles of Fawad Khan, Atif Aslam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan in India amid rising tensions

The Instagram profiles of Pakistani celebrities like Fawad Khan, Atif Aslam, and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan are no longer accessible in India. This development comes just weeks before Fawad’s planned Bollywood return with Abir Gulaal and follows a series of social media restrictions tied to the worsening India–Pakistan relationship.

When Indian fans try to view the artists' Instagram pages, they’re met with a message: "Account not available in India. This is because we complied with a legal request to restrict this content." No official clarification has come from either the Indian government or Meta, but the timing is significant. The move comes days after a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam region killed 26 people, most of them tourists. It was one of the deadliest attacks since the 2008 Mumbai carnage.
