COMEDIAN Jim Davidson have vowed never to visit London again and slammed mayor Sadiq Khan of having “f***** up” his home town.

Taking to Twitter, the 65-year-old comedian wrote: “I am mever coming to London again. Khan. You have f***** my home town up.”

His tweet backfired, with many of his followers accusing the comedian of racism. A section of fans also thanked Khan for getting rid of Davidson from London.

One person wrote: “Brilliant news! Keep it up @SadiqKhan.”

Another commented: “Not much of a Sadiq Khan fan here, but if you actually stick to your word and stay out of London for good, then this is a glowing legacy for him.”

A third said: “Fantastic news, please don’t back down on this pitiful threat.”

Actor Michael Cashman wrote: “The same Jim Davidson that celebrated Margaret Thatcher as she tried to crush mining communities & lesbian and gay people. The man who laughed whilst the working-class struggled. By the way your grammar is appalling. Proud of the city in which I was born and where I still live.”

After being called a racist, Davidson clarified his statement:”To all you twitter (sic) moaners re my coment (sic) on my home town. It is purely the congestion and traffic I cannot bare but all you lefties can still call me racsist (sic) if if (sic) gets you off Charlton? You can bypass London and go through Kent.”

Davidson is not the only celebrity to recently slam the mayor of London. In an article written for the Mail Online, Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan said he wasn’t impressed with Khan’s comments about US president Donald Trump when he was in the UK on his three-day state visit.

“Sadiq Khan, who’s been Mayor for three years, launched a series of savage attacks on President Trump in the past 48 hours, both in print and on television.”

Acknowledging that Trump can have his faults, Morgan said Khan made the trip “all about him”, rather than the “D-Day heroes”.

Khan had described Trump as “just one of the most egregious examples of a growing global threat” and compared the language he had used to that of the “fascists of the 20th century”. He also condemned the UK’s decision to roll out the red carpet for Trump.

“This is a man who also tried to exploit Londoners’ fears following a horrific terrorist attack on our city, amplified the tweets of a British far-right racist group, denounced as fake news the robust scientific evidence warning of the dangers of climate change.

“And is now trying to interfere shamelessly in the Conservative party leadership race by backing Boris Johnson because he believes it would enable him to gain an ally in Number 10 for his divisive agenda.”
