We all know that Bollywood takes a lot of inspiration from Hollywood. We have seen many Hindi films that were a remake of a Hollywood movie. Well, even in the songs West has been an inspiration for lyricist in Bollywood.

Beyonce Sharma Jayegi

Let’s start the list with a very recently released song. A couple of weeks ago, the makers of Khaali Peeli released a track titled Beyonce Sharma Jayegi. While it is a decent track, it faced a backlash on social media for being racist. The makers have changed the lyrics of the song now, but well, they used Beyonce’s name in the track earlier.

Shakira Se Bhi Zyada

Shakira’s dance moves are always the highlight of her songs. So, in the song, Shakira Se Bhi Zyada from No Problem, we can see that the male leads are comparing the moves of Sushmita Sen and Kangana Ranaut to the moves of Shakira, ‘Shakira se bhi zyada tera hile lakni…’

Not just in the West, Shakira is very famous in India as well. So, not one, there are two songs in which the lead actresses were referred to Shakira. Lauren Gottlieb danced wonderfully in the track Shakira which featured in the movie Welcome To Karachi. The hook phrase of the song was ‘Pindi de patthe bhi, Delhi de munde bhi, Kende Karachi ki main haaye Shakira…’

Toh Dishoom

We all remember the film Dishoom starring John Abraham and Varun Dhawan. It was an entertaining action film. Well, in the title track of the film, there was a line in which Katy Perry was mentioned, ‘Bathroom me Kishore Da, ke gaane gata hoon, Katy Perry ki me photo, sang leke nahata hoon…’

Feel The Rhythm

Tiger Shroff is a big fan of Michael Jackson. So, when he starred in a movie titled Munna Michael there has to be a song dedicated to MJ. In the film, there was a track titled Feel The Rhythm in which there was a line in the lyrics, ‘Sabko nacha doon I’m gonna move it like MJ…’

Speaker Phat Jaaye

The song Speaker Phat Jaaye from the movie Total Dhamaal has a mention of none other than Lady Gaga in it. In the track, Ajay Devgn’s character tells Esha Gupta, ‘Oh meri Lady Gaga, Dil tere peechhe bhaga…’

LOL

Last on the list we have the song LOL from Yami Gautam and Vikrant Massey starrer Ginny Weds Sunny. The track was recently released and in it, Yami is comparing herself to Madonna and calls Vikrant, Eminem. The lyrics of the song are, ‘Badi Tu Gallan Karda, Tere Ton Kujh Nahi Hona, Gareeban Da Tu Eminem, Main India Di Hu Madonna…’
