Blank Movie Review: Sunny Deol's dhai kilo ka haath still has a lot of power

Remember in the film Gadar - Ek Prem Katha, Sunny Deol loudly shouts Amrish Puri's character's name, 'Ashraf Ali'. For that few seconds, the audience in the theatre had gone silent and that was the power of Sunny Deol's voice. We all were missing that Sunny Deol whom we saw in movies in the 90s and early 2000. But today while watching Blank something similar happened. In a sequence, Sunny Deol shouts at one of his colleagues in the film, 'Uska baap bhi bolega' and once again there was a silence in the theatre. Behzad Khambata's Blank brings back the angry man Sunny Deol on the big screen with his dhai kilo ka haath doing some fantastic action.

Blank is about a guy named Hanif (Karan Kapadia) who meets with an accident and it is found that he has a bomb attached to his body. After the accident, Hanif loses his memory. Enters ATS Chief, Dewan (Sunny Deol) who is handling the whole case and starts the investigation on it.

The movie is written and directed by Behzad Khambata, and he successfully comes up with an interesting film. The engaging screenplay, very well choreographed action scenes, fantastic background score, great cinematography, crisp editing and most importantly, the suspense that leaves us surprised in the climax, work in the favour of the film.

Sunny Deol is the soul of the movie and if you are his fan, you must watch Blank. He has joined politics, but we hope he keeps on doing movies especially such roles. Karan Kapadia makes an impressive debut and we look forward to seeing him more on the big screen. Karanvir Sharma and Ishita Dutta are good in their respective roles.

Overall, Blank is a good action-thriller with a perfect dose of entertainment.
