‘Asians should challenge cultural notions about men and women’

by Nadeem Badshah An urgent campaign is needed to tackle attitudes among some British Asian men towards women and to urge people to report abuse following the Newcastle grooming case, community leaders and campaigners have said. They have called for regular talks in mosques on respect for all and want government research on why it is that “hundreds” of Pakistani-origin have been convicted of abusing young girls.
