Anil Kapoor wins raves for his performance in Fanney Khan

With Fanney Khan, evergreen Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor proves it once again that when it comes to delivering power-packed performances, no one can hold a candle to him. The actor is garnering loads of appreciation for his stirring performance in the Atul Manjrekar directorial from all quarters.

In Fanney Khan, Kapoor plays the father of a teenage girl who wants to become a pop singer. For his brilliant act in the movie, the talented actor has been showered with praises from some of the high-profile Hindi film critics.


Talking about his performance in the flick, noted film journalist and critic Anupama Chopra says, “After 38 years of being a leading man, Anil Kapoor has a likability and a dignity that makes you instantly care about him. Kapoor Saab, as I call him, stands tall in Fanney Khan”.

Popular film critic Rajeev Masand says in his review, “Anil Kapoor succeeds in leaving his stamp all over the film, making your heart go out to the selfless man”.

Anil Kapoor will next be seen in Shelly Chopra’s directorial debut Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, co-starring Juhi Chawla, Sonam Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao.

A song inspired by displacement and resilience

Days before the release of Main Vaapas Aaunga, the film's makers have revealed a special version of Kya Kamaal Hai that shifts the focus beyond the story on screen to a global humanitarian issue.

Featuring lead actor Diljit Dosanjh, the video is dedicated to refugees around the world who have been forced to leave their homes because of conflict, violence and persecution. The song will play during the end credits of the film when it arrives in cinemas on Friday.
