Ananya Panday: Vijay Deverakonda is kind, smart, well-spoken and knows how to hold a conversation

A few days ago, it was announced that Ananya Panday will be seen romancing Arjun Reddy star Vijay Deverakonda in his Bollywood debut. The film is being produced and directed by Puri Jagannadh and Karan Johar is co-producing the movie.

Well, recently, while talking to a tabloid, Ananya spoke about her character in the film. She stated, “My character is quite like the real me. I think young girls will be able to relate to her cute, funny and charming personality. I am working on my Telugu too, learning a few words every day on the set. I will try to dub for myself in as many languages as possible.”

Vijay’s film Arjun Reddy was remade in Hindi as Kabir Singh and starred Shahid Kapoor in the lead role. The film was criticised for its misogynistic theme. When Ananya was asked if she has discussed it with Vijay, the actress said, “No, I haven’t, I thought he acted very well. Besides, portraying a certain character doesn’t mean you are that person in real life. Vijay is kind, smart, well-spoken and knows how to hold a conversation.”

Ananya surely has some interesting projects in her kitty. Apart from starring opposite Vijay in this pan-India film, Ananya will be seen in Khaali Peeli, Shakun Batra’s next and a film with Saif Ali Khan.

She recently won Best Debut Award at Filmfare Awards for her performances in Student of The Year 2 and Pati Patni Aur Woh. Well, the actress has been trolled left, right and center on social media as people feel that she didn’t deserve an award.
