Akshay Kumar opens up about the reports of Housefull 4 fake collections

Farhad Samji’s Housefull 4 is doing quite well at the box office. However, there have been several reports that the collections of the movie are fake. Even on Twitter, there have been many tweets claiming that the box office collections given by the makers of the film are fake.

A couple of days ago, Akshay Kumar interacted with the media and opened up about it. When Akshay was asked if he is upset about the negativity around the film, the actor said, “Do I look upset? I am from that era where I have heard a lot of people say a lot of things. But I have never said anything. In my school, I was taught, 'Mind your own business'."

He further stated, "It doesn't make a difference. What will I do? You can talk to theatre owners. You will keep asking me this same question four times to get an answer. The answer is I am not writing all this. These people are writing it. I am not running anything. My point of view is very simple, whatever comes in front of the media as you react to it, I react to it. So, there is nothing new about it."

Housefull 4 is backed by Sajid Nadiadwala and Fox Star Studios. While talking about Fox, the actor said, "There is a studio called Fox Star Studios. It has big credibility. It is a corporate. It runs from LA. It is not possible. We should use our brains. They make films of millions and millions of dollars and for them to increase by three or five nothing will happen. So, let's talk sense. They (production house) are writing it on their own handle (Twitter) and it goes everywhere, they have to report to everyone. Nobody is going to lie this."

Well, we quite agree with Akshay that why would such a big production house lie about a few crores.

What Britain’s ban on strangulation porn really means and why campaigners say it could backfire

Highlights:

  • Government to criminalise porn that shows strangulation or suffocation during sex.
  • Part of wider plan to fight violence against women and online harm.
  • Tech firms will be forced to block such content or face heavy Ofcom fines.
  • Experts say the ban responds to medical evidence and years of campaigning.

You see it everywhere now. In mainstream pornography, a man’s hands around a woman’s neck. It has become so common that for many, especially the young, it just seems like part of sex, a normal step. The UK government has decided it should not be, and soon, it will be a crime.

The plan is to make possessing or distributing pornographic material that shows sexual strangulation, often called ‘choking’, illegal. This is a specific amendment to the Crime and Policing Bill. Ministers are acting on the back of a stark, independent review. That report found this kind of violence is not just available online, but it is rampant. It has quietly, steadily, become normalised.
