There were quite few TV actresses as a showstopper this year and amongst them was Krystle D’Souza. She was the showstopper for designer Shazia Naik. This collection was inspired by Celestial Angels.

Rhea was the showstopper for RAR Studio by Ritesh Anik Rishav. The collection was inspired by majestic murals, Mughal pattern, floral patterns and mirror work. This collection is called SheeshMahal. There was nothing modern about this outfit; however it gave an olden day’s vibe as the name of the collection describes it.

Sushmita Sen

Miss Universe 1994 Sushmita Sen walked the ramp as a showstopper for Neeta Lulla. Sushmita wore an off shoulder ivory gown from the collection called The Sovereign Fantasy.

Urvashi Rautela

Urvashi Rautela walked for two designers on the same day however, the one grabbed the attention more, which was by Masuuma Namjoshi. There’s no fashion week without a traditional lehenga. Urvashi wore velvet outfit, which gave a rich Mughal era vibe.

Disha Patani

Disha Patani also wore a lehenga for Kalki’s latest collection. This wedding couture collection is called Athena, the Greek Goddess. She walked for Saurabh Gupta, Nishti Gupta and Shishir Gupta, the owners of Kalki.

I gave up cinema for my fans, says actor Vijay

ACTOR-POLITICIAN Vijay has said he decided to give up cinema to stand up for his fans, who, he said, offered him everything, including a “kottai” (fort).

Speaking at the audio launch of his film Jana Nayagan in Malaysia, Vijay said his decision was driven by the loyalty and support of his fans. In Tamil Nadu, the word kottai symbolises a stronghold and also refers to Fort St George in Chennai, which houses the state assembly, secretariat and the chief minister’s office.
