16 years of Kal Ho Naa Ho: Dialogues from the film that we will never forget

Nikkhil Advani’s Kal Ho Naa Ho is surely one of the best romantic films we have seen in Bollywood. The movie starring Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, and Saif Ali Khan was produced by Karan Johar and had all the elements that we expect in a Dharma Productions movie.

Today, Kal Ho Naa Ho completes 16 years of its release. One of the best elements in the film was the dialogues. There were dialogues that made us laugh, inspired us and also touched the right chords of our hearts.

So, let’s looks at the list of the most memorable dialogues of Kal Ho Naa Ho…

Aaj ek hasi aur baant lo, aaj ek dua aur maang lo, aaj ek ansoon aur pee lo, aaj ek zindagi aur jee lo, aaj ek sapna aur dekh lo, aaj, kya pata, kal ho naa ho…

Laal mere dil ka haal hai, lagta tumpe kamaal hai, yeh tofha nahin sawaal hai, kya Subhash Ghai ki picture Taal hai?

Main aankhein band karta hoon toh tumhe dekhta hoon, aankhein kholta hoon toh tumhe dekhna chahta hoon. Tum paas nahin hoti toh tumhe charon taraf mehsoos karta hoon…

Jitna tum ladki ke peeche bhaagoge utna hi woh tumse door bhaagegi ... agar tum ladki ke peeche nahi bhaagoge toh woh confuse ho jayegi aur tumhare peeche bhaagegi ... yeh pata karne ke liye ki woh confuse kyun hai…

Tumhare paas joh hai tumhare hisaab se kam hai, lekin kisi doosre ke nazar se dekho, toh tumhare paas bahut kuch hai…

Pyar ka pehla kadam dosti hai, aur aakhari bhi, bas beech ke kadam reh gaye hain…

Netflix approves $25 billion buyback after scrapping Warner Bros bid

Highlights

  • Netflix board approved a $25bn share repurchase on 22 April, with no expiry date.
  • The move follows Netflix abandoning its $83bn bid for Warner Bros' streaming and studio assets.
  • Netflix stock has fallen more than 10 per cent since weak Q2 guidance, closing at $93.24 on 22 April.
Netflix has approved a $25 billion share buyback programme, using capital it had kept aside for its failed bid to buy Warner Bros.
The board gave the green light on 22 April, with the decision disclosed in an SEC filing the next day.
There is no expiry date on the programme. It comes on top of an existing December 2024 buyback that still had $6.8 billion left as of 31 March.

Earlier this year, Netflix pulled out of an $83 billion deal to acquire Warner Bros' streaming and studio assets after Paramount Skydance made a rival bid for Warner Bros. Discovery. Paramount then paid Netflix a $2.8 billion exit fee.

Co-CEOs Ted Sarandos and Greg Peters had already said the company would restart share buybacks once the deal was off.

Netflix shares have had a rough ride. They hit an all-time high of $134.12 in June 2025, then fell more than 40 per cent when the Warner Bros deal was announced.
