Yami Gautam Dhar starrer Lost premiere on ZEE5 Global on 16th February

ZEE5 Global, the world's largest streaming platform for South Asian content, announced the release date of its next direct-to-digital original film, Lost. Produced by Zee Studios and Namah Pictures, the film is an investigative thriller starring Yami Gautam Dhar, Pankaj Kapur, Rahul Khanna, Neil Bhoopalam, Pia Bajpiee, and Tushar Pandey in key roles.

Helmed by national award-winning director Aniruddha Roy Choudhury who has also directed the Amitabh Bachchan starrer Pink, Lost earned a standing ovation at t   Chicago South Asian Film Festival 2022, Atlanta Indian Film Festival 2022, and the 53rd International Film Festival of India. And after doing the rounds at these prestigious film festivals, Lost is now set to premiere on ZEE5 Global on 16th February.

Written by Shyamal Sengupta with dialogues by Ritesh Shah, Lost is based in Kolkata and is inspired by true events. The Yami Gautam Dhar starrer is a story of a bright young crime reporter in a relentless search for the truth behind the sudden disappearance of a young theatre activist. It further represents a higher quest, and search for lost values of empathy and integrity. And what better way to commemorate this month of patriotism than to highlight the importance of freedom to remind us that not all hope is lost and for some journalists, their democratic voice and media integrity are still intact.

Lost will exclusively premiere on ZEE5 Global from 16th February.

Highlights

  • American tariffs adding 10 per cent to costs, with further 25 per cent charge on single malts expected next spring.
  • Barley demand slumped from up to 1 million tonnes to 600-700,000 tonnes expected next year.
  • Major distilleries including Glenmorangie and Teaninich have paused production for months.
Scotland's whisky industry is facing a sharp downturn in production as it adapts to challenging market conditions worldwide, with US tariffs and weakening global demand forcing major distilleries to halt operations.

Tariffs introduced under the Trump administration have added 10 per cent to importers' costs in the industry's biggest export market.

American tariffs on single malts, suspended four years ago, are expected to return next spring with a further 25 per cent charge unless a deal is reached.
