Shakuntala Devi trailer: Vidya Balan is all set to make us fall in love with maths

Vidya Balan starrer Shakuntala Devi is surely one of the most awaited films of the year. The movie was earlier slated to hit the big screens on 8th May 2020. However, due to the lockdown, the makers have decided to release the film on the OTT platform, Amazon Prime Video.

Today, the makers have released the trailer of the film and it is wonderful. It’s a refreshing trailer and it looks like Shakuntala Devi will be an enjoyable film.


Vidya Balan steps into the shoes of Shakuntala Devi for the biopic and well, as expected she is simply amazing in it. In each and every frame, Vidya nails it and this clearly looks like an award-winning performance by her. This will surely be a treat for her fans.

The movie also stars Dangal fame actress, Sanya Malhotra, in a pivotal role and she leaves a mark in the trailer with her strong performance. Amit Sadh and Jisshu Sengupta are also a part of the film.

Shakuntala Devi is directed by Anu Menon who had earlier helmed films like London, Paris, New York and Waiting. Both the movies were wonderful, so of course, the expectations from Shakuntala Devi are also quite high.

The movie will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on 31st July 2020 and we surely can’t wait to watch it. Also, it looks like we need to brush-up our maths before watching the film.

Rourke distances himself from the online fundraiser

Mickey Rourke has denied any involvement in a crowdfunding appeal that raised close to £80,000 and has asked supporters to reclaim their donations. The Oscar-nominated actor addressed the issue in a video shared on Instagram, saying he was frustrated and confused by the situation.

The GoFundMe page, titled Help Mickey Rourke Stay in His Home, appeared over the weekend and claimed the actor was facing an urgent threat of eviction.
