Today, the whole world is celebrating Father’s Day and to make this day special Shah Rukh Khan took to Twitter to launch the official website of his NGO, Meer Foundation. The NGO has been named after Shah Rukh Khan’s father and it works for the women welfare.
The actor tweeted, “A foundation I named after my father - @MeerFoundation - aims to create a network of support for women. No better day than #FathersDay for me to introduce our website to the world. https://meerfoundation.org/”

A note written by Shah Rukh Khan on the website reads:
"In my life, I have been given several opportunities to flourish by the people around me. And this is exactly what I want to do for others – especially women. My dream is to create an ecosystem that allows women, regardless of their history, to redefine, redo, or rework their lives the way they choose, the way they see fit. This might seem idealistic, but I truly believe that we can empower women to dream, grow, and live life without worry.
The reality, however, is that most women have very little freedom. Often, they are made to feel powerless, have restrictions imposed on them, and are punished for the choices they make, or for simply saying ‘no’. These cases of oppression usually stem from a lack of respect and empathy, which is in stark contrast to what I try to personify every day. In fact, it is my conviction in women’s rights that compels me to act – especially when I learn of atrocities like acid attacks. I believe that, when faced with violence, women need a friend – someone they can rely on, who can help them face these hurdles and come out stronger. Meer is that friend.
The vision for Meer Foundation was inspired by my father – the most gentle, compassionate, and kind man that I have known. His interactions with women were always based on a foundation of respect and kindness, and this is what I remember most about him. Meer, which is named after the title that he bore, is the embodiment of his spirit.
Through Meer, I believe that we can help women who have been treated unfairly by creating a network of support. In the past year alone, I have seen the Foundation’s immense potential to better lives and change the future. We have only just begun, and we plan to grow even stronger, ultimately helping the dream become a reality."
This is clearly a great initiative by Shah Rukh Khan.
Talking about his movies, he was last seen on the big screen in Zero. The actor is yet to announce his next film but reportedly, Shah Rukh Khan is set to team up with Rajkumar Hirani. We are sure his fans are eagerly waiting to know which will be his next film.
Sheeran has never featured original Hindi lyrics in a song before, marking a significant first.
Gandhi has spoken about the immense difficulty of keeping the exciting news quiet until the announcement.
Her new verse explores the overwhelming, lightning-strike feeling of finding 'the one'.
The track is part of a larger EP featuring remixes with Karan Aujla, Hanumankind, and others.
Jonita Gandhi just confirmed the big collaboration. She is part of the upcoming remix of Ed Sheeran's song Heaven. This is not a background vocal thing; she has a full, proper verse in there in Hindi and this is a first for Sheeran. The track is part of his remix EP, which is basically a love letter to Indian sounds at this point.

So what did she actually do to the song?
People might think it is just a simple translation. It is not. She wrote and sang new lines, in Hindi, that slot right into the melody. She took the whole "heavenly" love idea and made it conversational. Her words, she says, are about that moment 'you just know'. You know? It is her voice, her language, grafted onto his global tune, giving Heaven a completely unique cultural twist.
Remember the Mumbai gig she opened for him? That was not just a slot. That was the introduction. She has talked about how he was surprisingly normal and grounded and genuinely curious about the music here. It seems that meeting stuck. She went from fan to opener to collaborator in less than a year. That is a pretty rapid climb for any artist.
Gandhi is not alone. Sheeran has collected a bunch of talented folks. Karan Aujla on Symmetry, and we have to say that is a massive get. Hanumankind, the rapper, he is in the mix too. And then Santhosh Narayanan and his daughter Dhee on Don’t Look Down. It is a proper sampler and not just one token track. He is really stacking this EP. It makes you think someone on his team is genuinely paying attention.

And the timing?
She mentioned this in her chat that October is her birthday month. You cannot buy that kind of symbolic timing right? This whole project in fact, highlights how seriously Ed Sheeran is looking to incorporate the sounds of the Indian subcontinent into the worldwide pop landscape, making this release feel perfectly placed for the festive season.
