Saaho: Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor starrer takes a flying start at the box office

Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Saaho released on 30th August 2019. The multi-lingual film has released in various languages including Hindi. The movie marks Prabhas’ debut in Hindi film industry and with his first Hindi film itself the actor has set the box office on fire.

Saaho, which was undoubtedly one of the most awaited films of the year, has taken a flying start at the box office in India. The Hindi version of the film has collected Rs 24.40 crore on Friday. It is a fantastic number for a non-holiday release. Saaho gets the third-highest opening of the year. At number one we have Salman Khan starrer Bharat with Rs 42.30 crore and Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan starrer Mission Mangal is at second position with Rs 29.16 crore. However, we cannot ignore that both Bharat and Mission Mangal released on a holiday and Saaho has got an opening of Rs 24.40 crore without releasing on a national holiday.

The opening numbers of Saaho prove that after Baahubali franchise Prabhas has huge fan following all over India. But, the Sujeeth directorial has received mixed to negative reviews, so it will be interesting to see how it will perform at the box office on Saturday and Sunday. Will the reviews affect the box office collection or Prabhas’ stardom will continue to make the film rule at the box office? Well, let’s wait and watch.

Also, with Saaho, Shraddha gets the biggest opening of her career. While the actress doesn’t have a strong character to play in the film, we cannot ignore that she is quite famous with the masses in India and she is one of the factors to pull audiences to theatres, especially for the Hindi version.

Saaho also stars Neil Nitin Mukesh, Chunky Panday, Mandira Bedi, Mahesh Manjrekar, Jackie Shroff, Arun Vijay, and Evelyn Sharma.
