John Abraham and Divya Khosla Kumar starrer Satyameva Jayate 2 gets a release date

After the success of Satyameva Jayate (2018), the makers are now all set for the sequel to the film titled Satyameva Jayate 2. The movie will star John Abraham and Divya Khosla Kumar in the lead roles. While Divya featured in a song in her directorial Sanam Re (2016), this film will mark her acting comeback after a gap of 16 years.

Milap Zaveri, who had helmed Satyameva Jayate, will be directing the sequel as well. He took to Twitter to announce the release date of the film. Milap tweeted, “Satyameva Jayate 2 releases on 2nd October 2020! Agle Gandhi Jayanti hogi Kranti!?Super excited!! @TheJohnAbraham ⁩ ⁦ @iamDivyaKhosla ⁩ ⁦ @itsBhushanKumar ⁩ ⁦ @nikkhiladvani ⁩ ⁦ @monishaadvani ⁩ ⁦ @madhubhojwani ⁩ ⁦ @EmmayEntertain ⁩ ⁦ @TSeries.”

The movie will be co-produced by T-Series and Emmay Entertainment. While talking about their fifth collaboration with Emmay, the head honcho of T-Series, Bhushan Kumar said, “Emmay and T-Series have become a family and our association together have always been fruitful. Satyameva Jayate was a blockbuster and making the second one with Milap and John was a no guess game. And all the best to Divya who has joined the team with this one.”

Nikkhil Advani of Emmay Entertainment stated, “After the blockbuster Satyameva Jayate, we are very happy and delighted to bring to the audiences Satyameva Jayate 2 with the super-hit teams of Emmay and T-Series.”

So, 2nd October 2020 is booked by the makers of Satyameva Jayate 2. But unfortunately, the film won’t get a solo release as on the same day Vicky Kaushal starrer Sardar Udham Singh is slated to hit the screens. The movie is directed by Shoojit Sircar who is quite close to John, so we won’t be surprised if the clash gets averted. Well, it's still a year for the films to hit the screens, so let's wait and watch.

The Offbeat Sari: Redefining Tradition in Birmingham

Offbeat Sari in Birmingham!

A groundbreaking fashion and culture exhibition titled The Offbeat Sari is now open at the Midlands Arts Centre (MAC) in Birmingham, offering visitors a rare glimpse into the transformation of one of India’s most enduring and iconic garments. Running until Sunday, 2 November 2025, this compelling display takes place across the First Floor and Arena Galleries within MAC, located in Cannon Hill Park (B12 9QH). The exhibition examines the sari’s powerful journey from traditional attire to a modern symbol of individuality, rebellion, and design innovation, particularly in contemporary urban India. Curated with depth and vision, it is a must-visit for fashion lovers, cultural enthusiasts, and anyone interested in the ever-evolving dialogue between tradition and modernity.

The Offbeat Sari does more than showcase clothing—it tells stories. It explores how a garment worn for centuries by women across the Indian subcontinent has been radically reinterpreted to reflect the dynamic realities of 21st-century India. As urban landscapes change and identities evolve, so too does the sari. The exhibition highlights a new generation of Indian designers, craftspeople, and wearers who are pushing the boundaries of how the sari is understood, designed, made, and worn.
