Here’s what Kajol has to say about her mother’s TV debut with “Aarambh”!

The veteran actress, Tanuja, who mesmerized the cine audience with her terrific acting talent in the 60s and 70s, recently made her television debut with Star Plus’ epic fantasy show, “Aarambh”. Seen as a clairvoyant, the actress has garnered widespread applause for her performance on the show.

But when we recently caught up with her daughter, Kajol, who herself is an iconic actress of Bollywood, she said her mother’s character sounds exactly like what she is in real life. Upon being asked if she has seen her mother’s debut show on television, she said, “I have not seen the serial. I think there are a lot of snakes around her neck, which, I know, are fake because my mother is petrified with snakes. But honestly speaking, my mother is the finest actress that I have ever come across in my life. She is amazing. She is fabulous. I don’t have words to describe her. I know for a fact that she is looking amazing (in the show) because I saw her when she came back from the screen test. And I was like “Oh my God! You are looking fabulous. She was like, “Yeah, I am playing a seer’. I said, “Wow, it sounds like what are you in real life.”

When asked if she is open to doing web-series, she says, “I am open to a good script at any point and in any space in time. If it’s a good script, I have no issues with it. I think the most important thing for me is good work, and I should like what I am doing.”

Kajol will next be seen in the Tamil language film “Velaiilla Pattadhari 2”, known also as VIP 2, with Tamil superstar Dhanush.
