Get ready to watch Shaktimaan on the big screen

Mukesh Khanna starrer Shaktimaan is undoubtedly one of the most loved serials in the history of Indian television. During the lockdown, the serial had once again started airing on Doordarshan, and now, soon we will get to see Shaktimaan on the big screen.

Mukesh Khanna is all set to make a three-film franchise of Shaktimaan and the first part will start rolling in the second half of 2021. While talking to Mid-day, the actor, who originally played Shaktimaan, said, "Kids across the country write to me, requesting that I create a new season of the series. I know the excitement around the subject hasn't dwindled. Shaktimaan is the first Indian superhero, after all. The makers of Krrish had Rs 150 crore [to make the film] and I didn't, which is why it took so long to develop the plan. Now, everything is slowly falling in place. The project should have rolled by now, but the pandemic disrupted our plans.”

Further talking about who will play Shaktimaan in the film, Khanna said, "I can't reveal who we are considering to play the new Shaktimaan. The final announcement will happen when the deal is sealed. Shaktimaan has to be bigger than Krrish and Ra.One. It has to be an Indian franchise with international standards."

Khanna and Dinker Jani, the original creators of the show, will serve as the creative producers on the film. They will soon be finalising a director to helm the project.

When AI takes over podcasts human creators are struggling to keep up

AI podcasts flood the internet threatening independent creators and reshaping a $39 billion audio industry

Highlights:

  • AI can make thousands of podcast episodes every week with very few people.
  • Making an AI podcast episode costs almost nothing and can make money fast.
  • Small podcasters cannot get noticed. It is hard for them to earn.
  • Advertisements go to AI shows. Human shows get ignored.
  • Listeners do not mind AI. Some like it.

A company can now publish thousands of podcasts a week with almost no people. That fact alone should wake up anyone who makes money from talking into a mic.

The company now turns out roughly 3,000 episodes a week with a team of eight. Each episode costs about £0.75 (₹88.64) to make. With as few as 20 listens, an episode can cover its cost. That single line explains why the rest of this story is happening.
