Flagship hotel gets grand Dubai opening

A NEW luxurious hotel has opened its doors to guests in Dubai as the country’s tourist numbers continue to soar.

Address Downtown, the flagship hotel under Emaar Hospitality Group’s premium lifestyle Address Hotels + Resorts brand, features over 200 rooms and suites for guests to enjoy.

The hotel will also feature state-of-the-art restaurant choices and a world-class spa.

Olivier Harnisch, the CEO of Emaar Hospitality Group, said the latest venture holds a “very special place” in the hearts of travellers and guests. “Working with world-leading designers and consultants, the all-new Address Downtown ushers in an exceptional lifestyle choice and sets new standards in luxury hospitality,” Harnisch said.

“The hotel will continue to uphold its distinctive positioning of ‘where life happens’.”

With 63 levels, guests can choose from 16 appointed room and suite choices.

The hotel boasts an array of eateries, including The Restaurant at Address Downtown, designed in the style of an avant-garde French apartment, and the Lounge, which serves an assortment of dishes including a la carte meals and afternoon tea.

Located only 15 minutes from the Dubai International Airport, the hotel is in walking distance of The Dubai Mall and directly overlooks Burj Khalifa, an iconic skyscraper in the city centre. It is the tallest building in the world, overtaking Taiwan’s Taipei 101 in 2008.

According to recent statistics, the number of tourists in Dubai increased by 3.6 per cent in the first quarter of 2018 compared to the same period of 2017.

The situation follows a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, two weeks ago, which killed 25 Indian civilians and a tourist from Nepal. In response, India launched a military operation, codenamed Operation Sindoor, targeting sites in Pakistan-administered Kashmir on 7 May 2025.
