Cricket West Indies Announces the Full Schedule of CPL 2021

As the Caribbean Premier League plans to resume on August 28, fans are hoping for a thrilling event like the previous years despite the risk that Covid-19 place. The venue of this event has been set for St. Kitts and Nevis. All 33 games will be played in the same venue as a health measure. Here’s more on the 2021 CPL.

Caribbean Premier League 2021 Schedule has been announced by Cricket West Indies, and the upcoming series will commence from August 26, and the finals are scheduled for September 15, 2021. The entire tournament will be played in St Kitts & Nevis this year with all 33 matches taking place at Warner Park. The CWI and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) after a long round of deliberations have tweaked the CPL 2021 schedule to accommodate the second phase of the Indian Premier League.


Indian Premier League and Caribbean Premier League are popular T20 tournaments for players, and cricket fans worldwide and administrators of both the leagues had to synergize with each other to mitigate the risks of Covid19. Cricket West Indies is doing it's every bit to facilitate arrangements for a non-overlapping and smooth transition from one tournament to the next.

The star-studded line-ups of Caribbean Premier League 2021 feature the world-class domestic and international players from across the world. These include Andre Russell, Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard, Nicholas Pooran, Sunil Narine and Dwayne Bravo from West Indies, Faf du Plessis and Imran Tahir from South Africa, Glenn Phillips and Colin Munro from New Zealand, and Mohammad Amir, Shoaib Malik and Wahab Riaz, from Pakistan.

CPL team list has been released and all six teams competing in the 9th edition of Hero CPL 2021, three are owned by the Indian Premier League. Punjab Kings owns St Lucia Kings (formerly St Lucia Zouks), Kolkata Knight Riders have acquired CPL’s most successful franchise Trinbago Knight Riders, and Rajasthan Royals recently acquired Barbados Tridents and renamed it Barbados Royals.
