Women ‘connect as proud Indians and Britons’ at Lords


BRITISH INDIAN women from all walks of life discussed their experiences as they celebrated International Women’s Day (8) at an event in the House of Lords. Hosted by Lord Dolar Popat and his wife Lady Sandhya Popat, it encouraged Indian-origin wom­en to ‘Press for Progress’ as they noted the achievements of women in the community and acknowl­edged the challenges they faced in achieving gender equality.
