Varun Dhawan has proved his mettle in acting with every film that he stars in. The actor is getting a lot of interesting film offers of all genres. As per the reports in a leading Indian tabloid, Varun is considered to be featured in a lead role in the remake of the Telugu blockbuster film Arjun Reddy. Earlier, the role was offered to Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor, however, the makers of the film seem to have found Varun to be the perfect choice for the role.

The film will be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala who had earlier produced Varun Dhawan’s super hit Judwaa 2. A source close to the development said, “The film is currently being scripted and will be amended to suit Bollywood’s audience. It revolves around a philandering, alcoholic, drug addict, a surgeon who falls in love with an innocent medical student. Dhawan, who is currently busy with YRF’s Sui Dhaaga, will have to sport a leaner look for the part.”

The Hindi remake will be directed by Arjun Reddy director Sandeep Vanga. The shoot of the film will begin by mid 2018.

Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan is currently gearing up for his next film Sui Dhaaga opposite Anushka Sharma. He will also be featured in Shoojit Sircar’s October. The shoot of the film completed in 2017. Talking about the film, Varun had said, “It feels amazing. We wrapped up the film in 38 days. October is more than a film to me. I don’t want to say much about it, but this film has definitely impacted me so much as a human being. I think it has definitely changed me as a human being.”

October is scheduled to release on April 13, 2018.
