Varanasi schedule of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s Brahmastra wrapped up abruptly

On Monday, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt were clicked at the Mumbai airport. The two were in Varanasi for a shooting schedule of their movie Brashmastra. But according to a report in a tabloid, the shoot was abruptly wrapped up three days before the schedule. The reason behind this is said to Ali Bhatt’s health.

It is said that Alia fell ill and though she was ready to shoot, director Ayan Mukerji decided to wrap up the shoot. A source said, “Alia continued to work but Ayan decided to call off the shoot. The team will now return to the city in November for the song.” The source added that the actress will be consulting a specialist and will be taking rest before resuming the work. Even actors Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy were in Varanasi for the shoot. Reportedly, Ranbir and Alia were going to shoot for a song in those three days.

Earlier while talking about shooting the film in Varanasi, Ayan had said, “In the film, Varanasi is that place where all the characters meet for the first time and the actual adventure begins from there. So far, we have shot a song and an action sequence and hopefully, we will be able to present it well.”

Alia has been juggling between the shoots of Brahmastra and Sadak 2. In the latter, she has collaborated with her father Mahesh Bhatt for the first time. The film also stars Pooja Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, and Aditya Roy Kapur. It is slated to release on 10^th July 2020. Talking about Brahmastra, the movie was scheduled to release on Christmas this year but has been pushed to Summer 2020.

Apart from Brahmastra and Sadak 2, Alia Bhatt also has RRR, Inshallah and Takht in her kitty. RRR stars N. T. Rama Rao Jr. and Ram Charan as the male leads and it is being directed by SS Rajamouli. In Inshallah, Alia Bhatt will be seen romancing Salman Khan and also collaborates for the first time with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. And in Takht, Alia will be teaming up with her mentor Karan Johar. While this year Alia had two releases, Gully Boy and Kalank, next year the actress will be having five releases.
