It is an Indian comedy-drama film co-produced, written and directed by Anurag Basu. Set in the 1970s, the film depicts the story of Murphy “Barfi” and his relationships with two women, Shruti and Jhilmil. The character of Jhilmil Chatterjee’s is played by Priyanka Chopra, who is an autistic girl.

2. Fashion

Fashion is a 2008 Indian drama film directed and co-produced by Madhur Bhandarkar. The film features Priyanka Chopra in the lead role as Meghna Mathur, who is an aspiring fashion model. The film follows her transformation from small-town girl to supermodel. Fashion also explores feminism and female power in Indian fashion.

3. Mary Kom

Mary Kom is a 2014 Indian biographical sports film directed by Omung Kumar and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film stars Priyanka Chopra in the lead role of the eponymous boxer. The film premiered at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival, becoming the first Hindi film to be screened on the opening night of the festival. The film won the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment and was nominated for Filmfare Award for Best Film and Best Actress. Additionally, Priyanka Chopra won the Screen Award and the Producers Guild Film Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role.

4. 7 Khoon Maaf

This film is a 2011 Indian black comedy film directed, co-written and co-produced by Vishal Bhardwaj. The film stars Priyanka Chopra in the lead role. 7 Khoon Maaf is an adaptation of the short story Susanna’s Seven Husbands by Ruskin Bond. Priyanka Chopra won 57th Filmfare award for Best Actress Critics.

5. Kaminey

It is a 2009 Indian caper thriller film directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and featuring Shahid Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Amol Gupte in the lead roles. Set against the backdrop of the Mumbai underworld. For this film, Priyanka Chopra was nominated for Best Actress at 55th Filmfare Awards.

6. Dil Dhadakne Do

It is a 2015 Indian comedy-drama film directed by Zoya Akhtar and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. It features an ensemble cast of Anil Kapoor, Shefali Shah, Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma and Farhan Akhtar. It received five Filmfare nominations, winning Best Supporting Actor for Kapoor. Dil Dhadakne Do also receive nine nominations at the 2016 Screen Awards, including Best Film, Best Director for Farhan Akhtar, and Best Actress for Priyanka Chopra, winning two; Best Supporting Actor for Kapoor and Best Ensemble Cast.

7. Bajirao Mastani

Bajirao Mastani is a 2015 Indian epic historical romance film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. It stars Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone. Bajirao Mastani won seven National Film Awards, including Best Direction and Best Supporting Actress. The film received fourteen nominations at the 61st Filmfare Awards and won nine awards, including Best Film, Best Director for Bhansali, Best Actor for Singh and Best Supporting Actress for Priyanka Chopra.
