A MERCEDES SL 500 that belonged to Sir Cliff Richard was auctioned for £35,000 at a fundraiser for an anti-trafficking charity in London last month.

More than 300 guests attended an event hosted by the Hemraj Goyal Foundation for Lily Against Human Trafficking on September 30, raising £120,000 for the cause.

Founding trustee, Avnish Goyal, said: “The Hemraj Goyal Foundation over the last seven years has done a lot of work supporting some amazing causes both in the UK and abroad.

“I would like to acknowledge Lady Noon and Bina Rani for all their hard work and vision at Lily Against Human Trafficking, it is an amazing charity, for which we are honoured to support.”

Lady Mohini Kent Moon said: “We will continue to work diligently and honourably to ensure that donations reach woman and children. The number of people who need our help is huge, and the more support we receive, the more lives will be saved.”

Lily Against Human Trafficking works through prevention, rescue and rehabilitation to help survivors to lead free and fulfilling lives.
