Here’s a sad news for all the Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra’s fans. Jabariya Jodi, starring Sidharth and Parineeti, which was slated to release on 2nd August 2019, has been pushed to 9th August 2019.

Balaji Motion Pictures, the producers of the film, took to Twitter to inform everyone about the new release date. Along with a new poster of the film, they tweeted, “Our #JabariyaJodi will now arrive in cinemas near you on the 9th of August! @SidMalhotra @ParineetiChopra @ektaravikapoor @RuchikaaKapoor @ShaaileshRSingh @shantpraji @ZeeMusicCompany @KarmaMediaEnt @ZeeStudiosInt #JabariyaJodiOn9thAug.”

On 2nd August 2019, Jabariya Jodi would have faced competition from Sonakshi Sinha starrer Khandaani Shafakhana. But now, both the films will get a solo release after the change in the release of the Sidharth and Parineeti starrer.

Jabariya Jodi will also get an extended holiday weekend as on 12th August 2019, it is Bakri Eid. However, we cannot ignore that the movie will only get six days to make a mark at the box office as on 15th August, there are two biggies like Mission Mangal and Batla House slated to hit the screens.

The trailer and the songs of Jabariya Jodi have created a very good pre-release buzz among the audiences. It is clearly attracting the masses and the promotions too have been quite good. We can clearly expect Jabariya Jodi to open well at the box office.

While talking about his character, Sidharth Malhotra had earlier said, “When I had to play Abhay Singh, this character which is so far from what I have played in the past or where I have come from, it needs a lot of prep. It needs a lot of homework to be done. We, as a team, worked for about a month and a half to get the nuances right and work on the language. We had our director Prashant Singh and our writer Sanjeev K Jha, who is from the state, to help us. It’s a lovely cocktail of a serious issue shown in a much funnier way so that people by the end of it when they enjoy the film, they will also realise what is right and wrong.”
