Sanjay Leela Bhansali registers title for a new project

After the humongous success of his gobsmackingly epic film Padmaavat (2018), celebrated Bollywood filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is now gearing up to start work on his next directorial venture which stars superstar Salman Khan in the lead role.

Though the official title of the film has yet not been announced by the makers, insiders reveal it will be called Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam 2.

Amidst these title rumours, Bhansali has reportedly registered the title Gangubai with the Indian Motion Pictures Producers Association (IMPPA). Now some believe that it is the title of his next directorial, others are saying that it is the name of a future project that the filmmaker might work on after completing his film with Salman Khan.

Some media reports also suggest that Gangubai might be the title of the film which he was planning with Priyanka Chopra. The project was earlier called Heera Mandi.

“Bhansali would not just register a title for the sake of it. The script has been with him for a while and he may well get PC to do that film. Sometimes the media does put two and two together to figure out if Salman and PC are in the same film, a chance they missed out recently on Bharat. So, in all probability PC will be Gangubai,” a source divulged.

More details are awaited.
