Salman Khan is currently riding high with the success of his recent release Bharat. He also has Dabangg 3 and Inshallah in his kitty. The actor also confirmed that Kick 2 is happening and there are also talks of the third installment of Tiger franchise. Dabangg 3 is being directed by Prabhdheva, Sanjay Leela Bhansali will helm Inshallah and for Tiger 3 Salman will once again collaborate with Ali. But well, there’s one director Salman might work for the first time.
According to a report in an entertainment portal, Salman will be teaming up for Kick 2 with Rohit Shetty. Kick was directed by Sajid Nadiadwala and reportedly, Shetty is in talks to direct Kick 2. A source said, “Sajid Nadiadwala has been working on the script on Kick 2 relentlessly in the past one year. They have fine-tuned it and now, it’s almost locked. Salman returns with Jacqueline Fernandez for the sequel and the producer and the superstar discussed the idea of roping in Rohit to direct part two. Sajid is extremely fond of Rohit and he has already discussed the whole idea with him.”
“Rohit will be a perfect fit to make Kick 2 because the film is high on action and car chase sequences, something that Rohit is a master at. Plus, bringing Rohit and Salman’s combination for this film will add more star value to it,” added the source.
Well, the source also stated that if not Kick 2, Salman and Rohit will team up for another the film. This reminds us that during the promotions of Bharat, Salman in an interview had said, “Rohit and I have talked about working together. There is nothing definite yet. If our talks materialize into something, you’ll hear about it.”
It will surely be interesting to watch a movie starring Salman and directed by Rohit Shetty. Meanwhile, currently, Rohit is busy with the shooting of Sooryavanshi which stars Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles. The makers have locked Eid 2020 for the release of the film and on the same day, Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt’s Inshallah is also slated to hit the screens. Reportedly, Sooryavanshi is expected to be rescheduled.
