Rishi Kapoor and Juhi Chawla have starred together in many films. The two were last seen together on the big screen in 2016 release Chalk N Duster in which Rishi Kapoor had a cameo. Last year, an untitled film starring Rishi Kapoor and Juhi Chawla was announced, but due to the former’s health, the film was put on a backburner. However, now according to a report in a daily, the film will start rolling soon.

A source said, “The film, written by Bhatia and Supratik Sen, started production last September. But Rishi’s health started deteriorating at that time and the RK Studio sale was also announced. A bigger catastrophe befell the Kapoors when Krishna Raj Kapoor expired hours after Rishi left for New York for his treatment. Now with Rishi’s return by the end of August, the makers are readying to go on the floors.”

Rishi Kapoor is in the US for his treatment and it was a few weeks ago when the veteran actor announced that he is cancer-free. Talking about his treatment, he had said, “My eighth month of treatment started on May 1 in the US. But God has been kind! I am in remission, meaning now I am cancer-free. I will have to do a bone marrow transplant, which in all probability should take another two months minimum. Being in remission is a big thing and it’s all because of my family and my fans prayers and duas that have worked. I thank them all.”

When Rishi Kapoor flew down to the US for his treatment, the actor’s grey hair had become the talk of the town. He then later tweeted that it is not because of his health, but this is his look in the film with Juhi Chawla.

Rishi Kapoor was last seen in the film Rajma Chawal which was released on Netflix and also starred Amyra Dastur. Talking about Juhi Chawla, the actress was last seen on the big screen in Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. Though the film didn’t do well at the box office, Juhi’s comic timing was appreciated a lot.
