Priyanka Chopra reportedly engaged to Nick Jonas

Priyanka Chopra has walked out of Salman Khan's Bharat but there seems to be no hard feelings as she has recused herself from the project due to a very special reason, revealed director Ali Abbas Zafar.

The director also hinted at Priyanka's rumoured boyfriend Nick Jonas, writing "she told us in the Nick of time" and said the Bharat team was "very happy for her."

Recently, a journalist quizzed Priyanka’s mother about the actress’ marriage plans and Madhu Chopra counter-questioned him, saying, “‘Are you serious?’ If you are, then we’ll also get serious about it.”

After months of staying mum, Priyanka opened up about her rumoured romance with the singer, admitting to People that she was in the process of getting to know him. “We’re getting to know each other and I think it was a great experience for him,” she said when quizzed about the duo’s recent trip to India, where Nick met Priyanka’s family and friends.

Priyanka and Nick met during the 2017 Met Gala, and it wasn’t long before people started speculating they were an item. During Priyanka’s appearance on Jimmy Kimmel’s chat show she was asked point blank if there was something going on between her and Nick. But at the time Priyanka laughed it off.

When asked about going to the event together, Priyanka said: “Yeah, we were on the same table and we already know each other. So he was like ‘Hey, you wanna go together?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, OK, let’s go together.’ It ended up working out.”

Priyanka is all set to start filming Shonali Bose's The Sky is Pink, starring Farhan Akhtar.
