Prabhas not keen to star in big-budget films after Saaho

Prabhas was a star down South, but he became a household after Baahubali franchise. He now has a huge fan following in India as well as internationally. The actor will next be seen on the big screen in Saaho which is slated to release on 30th August 2019. His fans will get to see him on the silver screen after a gap of two years.

After starring in back-to-back big-budget films, Prabhas is not keen on starring in movies made on such a huge scale. While talking to a Tamil daily, when the actor was asked if he would continue to star in movies like Baahubali and Saaho, the answer was a ‘no’.

Prabhas further stated, "Enough of it. It is stressful to act in a big-budget film that's in production for a long time. One could do 2 to 3 films at that time. Even Shraddha had to be stuck with this movie for about 2 years."

Baahubali and Baahubali 2 broke many box office records. When Prabhas was asked if Saaho will beat the box office collection of Baahubali, the actor said, "I am not sure if Saaho would earn that much money. I just want to entertain all the fans of Baahubali."

A few days ago, at the trailer launch event, Prabhas had stated that he would like to do two films a year. The actor had said, “There is a lot of money invested in the films from my friends, and I don’t like it. But now onwards I will do two films a year.”

Directed by Sujeeth, Saaho also stars Shraddha Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Jackie Shroff, Chunky Panday, Mandira Bedi, and Arun Vijay. The film was earlier slated to release on 15th August 2019, but it was postponed to 30th August 2019. The trailer and the songs have created a good prelease buzz and it is expected that Saaho will take a bumper opening at the box office.
