Parineeti Chopra who is elated with the outcome of Golmaal Again, is now focusing over the preparation of the film Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar starring opposite Arjun Kapoor.
After Ishaqzaade, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar marks the second film of the actress with Arjun Kapoor.
Speaking about her reunion with Arjun Kapoorin the film, the actress said to a leading Indian tabloid, “Both our perspectives on films, the audience, the people around us, the media has changed a lot but our equation is stronger than ever. Since we are filming a really intense film — about two diametrically opposite thought processes — we are putting in long working hours together. It is important that Arjun and I have a certain comfort level between us.”
Speaking about her struggles with the Delhi smog while shooting for the film, the actress said, “I have to take steam every day and I am constantly on medication. My head and chest started hurting within the first two days of work. While shooting, our eyes are constantly watering and my throat is always scratchy. A lot of people on set keep falling sick. To put it mildly, it’s really bad at the moment and it is directly affecting our health. We have to wear masks too, so shooting is difficult.”
Talking about the success of Golmaal Again, Parineeti said, “I also always wanted to be a part of a Rs 100-crore film — the quintessential massy entertainer. I want people across small towns to know me too. I managed to touch upon that with Ishaqzaade, but now, with a Rs 200-crore film, you cannot imagine the kind of limelight and reach an artist receives. Very few actors can boast of being a part of that club and it’s not easy getting here. I am one of the elite now.”
