Well, it comes as no surprise that Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor share great camaraderie with each other. But, as per the reports, they are being considered to share screen space together in former CBFC’s chief Pahlaj Nihalani’s film Aankhan Chaar which is a sequel to 1993 film Aankhen.
Pahlaj Nihalani mentioned that he has two films in the process and that he would like to cast Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Imran Khan, Rajkummar Rao and Arjun Kapoor.
Pahlaj Nihalani told to a leading Indian daily, “Ranveer and Arjun are No 1 on my wish-list. I want them to play the leads in Aankhan Chaar. They have great chemistry. With each character playing a double role, we will see two Ranveers and two Arjuns, along with a chimpanzee.
If this combination fails, the producer has another plan with regards to the cast of the film. “Ranbir and Imran will also make an excellent combination, as will Ranbir and Shahid Kapoor and Ayushmann Khurrana and Rajkummar Rao.”
Talking about the story of the film, he said, “The animal will be the only common thread between the original, and this version. The subject will be completely different. It should reflect current times. It should be modern, keeping the trends and the youth’s preferences in mind. It will have Indian values and sentiments at its core, but, will be one that appeals to the youth.”
Currently, Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra while Ranveer is gearing up for Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy starring opposite Alia Bhatt.
