MP denies influence abroad


SIDDIQ FACES HEAT OVER MISSING BRITON LABOUR MP Tulip Siddiq was listed as a delegate for Bangladesh at the 2011 UN General Assembly despite claiming to have no influence on the country’s poli­tics or having knowledge of a missing British national in the Asian country. Siddiq, who represents Hampstead and Kilburn in north London, was listed at the general assembly with her cousin Sajeeb Ahmed Wazed, the son of Bangladeshi prime minister Sheikh Hasina and his wife, who is an American lawyer.
