A MAN from south-east London has been jailed for three years for supplying drugs.

Feroze Khan, 26, of Denmark Hill, was sentenced yesterday (10) at Inner London Crown Court for dealing crack-cocaine and heroin across London by using dedicated mobile phone lines.

The probe into Khan’s activities is part of an initiative to combat drugs lines, where those controlling the supply do not always come into direct contact with those selling-on the drugs.

The investigation into Khan began in June 2018.

Following a search at one of the addresses he used, police officials seized 509 wraps of crack cocaine and 84 wraps of heroin. They had a combined value of over £5000.

Khan was arrested by officers from the Violent Crime Taskforce in May 2019 and he confessed his crime while in custody.

He will be made subject to a 10-year Criminal Behaviour Order when released from prison.

Detective Constable Raymond Sekalongo said: “Khan thought he could evade police because he wasn’t directly involved in the handling of drugs but we are now able to target those higher up the chain and prove their involvement.

“Drug dealing is closely linked with violence we see on our streets. We will deal robustly with those who seek to sell drugs, exploit young people and target the most vulnerable within our communities for the sole purpose of financial gain.”
