Mad Max: Fury Road’s Lawrence Woodward to choreograph stunts for Akshay’s Kesari

Akshay Kumar is all set to star in his upcoming film Kesari which chronicles about the Battle Of Saragarhi. Akshay Kumar will be essaying the role of Havildar Ishar Singh in Anurag Singh’s directorial.

As per the reports in a leading tabloid, the makers of Kesari have roped in Lawrence Woodward who is a celebrated name in Hollywood for the Oscar winning films like Mad Max: Fury Road and Moulin Rouge. Lawrence Woodward has joined the team of Kesari to choreograph the action stunts in the film.

“Lawrence has already met the makers on his last visit to Mumbai and will be returning in December to start prep with Akshay. Kesari is heavy on action and Lawrence will be training the actor in sword-fighting besides rehearsing for other action sequences, which also includes hand-to-hand combat. They start shooting from the first week of January in Mumbai, followed by a schedule in Wai, a town in Satara district where huge sets of the Saragarhi and Gulistan forts, as well as a village, will be erected and then later at Spiti Valley in Himachal Pradesh,” said a source to a leading  tabloid.

According to the reports, Parineeti Chopra will likely play the leading lady opposite Akshay Kumar in the film. However, no confirmation on the same has been mentioned yet.

“Parineeti plays a strong character and has really liked the script. The makers have started prep,” a source said.

The shooting of Kesari will commence early next year. The film is scheduled to release in 2019.
