Kriti Kharbanda turned 27, feels age is just a number

On turning 27 on October 29, actress Kriti Kharbanda believes that one cannot judge anybody’s value based on age as it is just a number. “I honestly think age is just a number. As long as you have the passion and stamina, you keep going. If you allow someone else to determine how good or bad you are and whether you’re worth it or not according to your age, then it’s your fault,” Kriti said.

“If you give up just thinking ‘Oh, I’m old now!’, that doesn’t work either. I think it totally depends on your attitude towards it,” she added.

As she celebrated her birthday with a Halloween themed party, she was asked about the changing phases of celebrating birthday, to which the actress replied, “Honestly, it hasn’t. Because when I was younger, everyone around me was having birthday parties while I was working and not acting my age. Today, I feel 19 again because I have gone back in time. I’m doing something for myself for a change. I’m thoroughly enjoying the idea. I’m trying to make up for lost time.”

Talking about the birthday bash, she said, “I’ve never celebrated my birthday in my adult life. So, this was a first in a way. My friend suggested why not do it Halloween style? So, I was dressed up as a sexy prisoner and my friend as a jailer. Some imitated pirates and fairy tale characters like the Red Riding Hood as well.”

The party was also attended by Rajkummar Rao. “He came as someone who has broken his foot! It’s really sweet that he was there despite the injury,” said Kharbanda.

Kriti Kharbanda will be next seen in the upcoming film Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana opposite Rajkummar Rao.
