Kangana to marry before February 2019, Release of Manikarnika postponed

Last year, Kangana Ranaut stunned everyone by announcing that she would get married in 2017. Kangana had said, “I want to get married this year and hopefully, it should happen. When you are younger, you have different priorities. Marriage is a kind of burden, you can’t travel on your own, can’t think on your own. I can go to parties with my sister, I can date people for some time, have relationships. But then people start drifting away from your lives. My brother has got married, my sister will have a baby soon. You feel like you can’t have a set of frivolous friends coming over on weekends when your family is busy with their own families. You want the same for yourself.”

In today’s media interaction during Lakme Fashion Week, Kangana was asked about her marriage plans, to which the actress said, “Hopefully, very soon”, she added, “Give me a deadline till next February.”

Earlier, Kangana was against the institution of marriage. In an interview she had said, “I don’t believe in marriage. In fact, I am strictly against marriage. We are all born free and we should set each other free.”

On the professional front, Kangana is currently prepping for Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. Talking about her film, she said, “The film was scheduled to release on April 27, but due to the VFX in the film, I think it has gone to the end of the year (Jo pehle film 27 April ko aane wali thi, magar hum logon ka jo vfx hai, usko karke, I think it has gone to the end of the year.) The production house is planning to announce the release date in a big way. So, please wait for that.”

Earlier, the release date of Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi was pushed to June. A source had earlier said to a leading Indian daily, “Kangana is in Himachal Pradesh these days, spending some quality time with her family. She will resume work soon, but the VFX on the film is going to take a bit longer. So now the film will release only in June, or maybe even July.”
