The shooting of the movie “Parmanu – the story of Pokhran” starring actor John Abraham has been finally wrapped up.

The movie is based on the string of five nuclear bomb test explosions which was conducted in Pokhran in 1998. The series of events around which the story involves is based on a covert government operation.

The movie is directed by Abhishek Sharma who has previously directed “Tere Bin Laden.” The movie also features Diana Penty and Boman Irani.
The first look of the movie was first unveiled by John Abraham on Twitter and captioned – “Embark on an extraordinary journey this December with @ParmanuTheMovie #ParmanuTheStoryOfPokhran @johnabrahament @kriarj,” the actor wrote alongside the poster.”

John Abraham is also the co – producer of the movie along with playing the lead role, said that the movie is an ode to “the Army and scientists”.

“‘Parmanu’ is an ode to the Army and scientists, who although common people, truly accomplished extraordinary feats in the face of adversity to ensure that India finds its due place on the world nuclear map.

Moreover he added, “It is a powerful human story of ordinary citizens who changed the trajectory of the country. It is so special to me because it combines all the aspects of filmmaking that really speak to me – a thrilling edge of the seat plotline.”
